Dominik Szoboszlai is expected to have a starring role today as Hungary begin their Euro 2024 campaign against Switzerland.
The Liverpool star captains his country as they look to improve on their last showing at the European Championship, when they failed to win any of their group-stage matches and suffered an early exit in 2021.

Szoboszlai and Barnabas Varga were Hungary’s joint-top scorers in qualifying and the pressure will be on them to deliver in forward areas, while Milos Kerkez gets the nod at left wing-back after an impressive campaign for Bournemouth.
The experienced Peter Gulacsi once again starts in goal, having recovered from an ACL injury earlier this season, and RB Leipzig team-mate Willi Orban continues in the centre of defence. It is the same back-three system for Switzerland, who have not failed to make it out of their group at a major tournament since 2010.
There is no shortage of experience, with Remo Freuler and Granit Xhaka the midfield partnership. Manuel Akanji also starts, with Fabian Schar and Ricardo Rodriguez taking the two spots alongside him. However, there is no room in attack for Zeki Amdouni or Xherdan Shaqiri, who are on the bench.
