Hungary insider who also wants Scotland to qualify left in 'horrible position'

Ádám Bogdán enjoyed life in Scotland while at Hibernian - and the Hungarian goalkeeper was rooting for both nations to progress from Group A at Euro 2024.

Bogdán, capped 21 times by his country, reckons Scotland might come at Hungary from the off and use the belief that they showed during the second half against Switzerland on Wednesday night, with a win required to reach the knockout stage

Although, he's warned the Tartan Army that the Hungarians also pose a decent threat.

"It feels like I'm playing," he confessed. "It is exciting, it nervous, it is nerve-racking because it's a bit of an unfortunate situation that I'm in because I wanted Scotland to go through but equally even more I want Hungary to go through.

"But I don't think it can happen, so one of them can get knocked out but there's also the possibility that both of them can get knocked out. So, it's a horrible situation to be in.

"I'm on the side that Scotland will use the momentum from the Swiss game and I think they are going to hit us and come after us.

"In which case, it's probably good for Hungary so we can soak up the pressure and then hit them in a counter.

“But there's also an argument that everyone stays a little bit chilled and they wait for what the other one is going to do because I think both teams are defending well and both teams are dangerous on the counter.

"I guess both teams need to win."
