Hundreds of jobs will be up for grabs at a major recruitment event in Cardiff this week.
The Get Hired conference from Remploy, in partnership with the Prince’s Trust, will be attended by some of Wales’ biggest employers who are actively recruiting, including Admiral, Cardiff Bus and the Principality Stadium - where the event is being staged on Wednesday.
Other firms participating will include housing association Pobl, commercial cleaning venture Mrs Bucket, telecoms giant BT, logistics firm John Raymond Transport and Cardiff Council. In total some 500 new jobs will be promoted at the event.
Remploy’s district performance manager for north and mid Wales, Sharon Michaelson-Yeates, said: “Through our well-established links with national businesses and local firms we’ve helped 6,000 people to find work in Wales over the past year, and the Get Hired event aims to help even more jobseekers in the Cardiff area to find their perfect role.
Cardiff Bus is currently recruiting for 50 new bus drivers, while the Principality Stadium is seeking to fill 100 retail and hospitality roles (part-time).
Supermarket giant Lidl will be promoting 50 retail and warehouse roles at the event, at which around 20 firms and organisations will be present.
Keynote speakers will include from Welsh rugby player Shane Williams and chief executive of Remploy Gareth Parry.
