Hundreds of jobs at risk as major Scottish chemical site faces closure

HUNDREDS of jobs are at risk after a major chemical firm announced plans to cease operations at its Grangemouth site.

Syngenta has begun a consultation with trade unions and employees over proposals to close its premises on Earl's Road, putting 377 jobs in jeopardy, according to the Falkirk Herald.
