Hundreds of Evri parcels stolen from warehouse and wheeled away in cages through streets

Hundreds of parcels were stolen from a warehouse in Stockport before being wheeled down the street on wooden pallets and in cages. The packages, the majority of which were Evri deliveries, were stolen from a courier warehouse on Lingard Lane last Friday night (January 6).

Enquiries so far have suggested the theft occurred at around 7.30pm, with several hundred parcels snatched. They were then placed in several transportation cages and a wooden pallet and wheeled away through the streets of Brinnington. It is believed the items were moved between 8-9:15pm.

An estimated £20,000 worth of parcels have already been recovered by police and are in the process of being delivered back to Evri. Seven individuals aged from under 18 to 55 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen goods.
