Humza Yousaf could be one of several SNP politicians at risk of losing their seat at the next Holyrood election, a new poll has suggested.
A survey of Scottish Parliament constituency voting intentions found the SNP on 39 per cent, a drop of eight points from December, with Labour on 31 per cent, an increase of seven.
The poll by Panelbase - which was carried out while Nicola Sturgeon was still in office - put the Conservatives on 14 per cent, a drop of one per cent, with the Lib Dems on eight per cent and the Greens six.
If the swing from the SNP was replicated across the country at the next election - not due until 2026 - it could see the Nationalists still emerge the largest party but also lose several constituencies in the process.
Jackie Baillie, Scottish Labour depute leader, said: "The only poll that matters is the one on election day, but if I was Humza Yousaf I would be very worried. It's clear that Labour is on the up across Scotland and that the SNP is in trouble.
"Humza Yousaf may consider moving seat to Dundee where he lives in a desperate attempt to protect his pride - but make no mistake, Scottish Labour has the SNP in its sights."
Yousaf is MSP for Glasgow Pollok where he has a majority of 7,105. At the 2021 Holyrood election, he won 18,163 votes while Labour claimed 11,058.
A spokeswoman for the SNP said: "This is wishful thinking from Labour.
"Anas Sarwar and his pro-Brexit party are mistaken if they think people across Scotland will settle for a Tory-lite party and an agenda which completely ignores Scotland’s needs and offers no positive vision for our future.
"Humza Yousaf will continue to be a dedicated champion for his constituents across Glasgow Pollock, and the First Minister’s progressive plans for Scotland’s future are very much a part of that.
"Ultimately, people in Scotland deserve far better than the damaging choice of two pro-Brexit parties that you couldn't fit a cigarette paper between - voting SNP is the only way to get rid of Tory governments for good."
