Everton kit manufacturer hummel have explained why the club's new strip has taken so long to be released as anticipation continues to grow among the fanbase.
The Danish brand have tweeted a number of times over the last couple of weeks teasing that they might be coming closer to announcements around their designs. The company also provides the kits for Southampton in the Premier League. Saints fans, too, are waiting for the first glimpse of what they will wear in 2022/23.
Everton's wait is believed to be based around the club's change of main sponsor on the front of their shirt. Earlier this month, the Blues revealed that they had reached an agreement with Stake.com, who will replace Cazoo from the coming campaign onwards.

Before the deal with the online car retailer comes to an end on June 3, however, it's understood that Everton and their kit supplier can't do much about any potential reveal. And, earlier in the week, hummel took to social media when responding to one particular supporter explaining why these things often take so long.
They wrote: "These things take time because there are many moving parts. From the first stages of design to release, you're looking at several months minimum.
"Sorry we can't give you much more than that, but as soon as we can share more we will!"
