Humber's low carbon plans exhibited on international stage

A vision of a greener and more prosperous Humber has been promoted to attendees of a major international low carbon conference.

Future Humber, the area's place promotion body, presented its Humber 2030 Vision prospectus at the Innovation Zero Congress which attracted more than 12,000 visitors to the London Olympia. The organisation partnered with companies such as RWE, Phillips 66, Drax and SSE Thermal to create a Humber Pavilion where a potential £15bn of investment opportunities in the Energy Estuary were showcased to delegates.

The 2030 Vision sets out how the Humber - the UK's largest carbon emitter - offers what Future Humber says is the single biggest industrial decarbonisation opportunity that could create thousands of jobs. It follows last month's unveiling of the promotional body's new brand and refreshed board having previously operated as Marketing Humber.
