More than 50 bin bags of human remains were found after a dog was spotted with a severed hand in its mouth. The horror discovery was made in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico.
Bibian Mendoza noticed the dog with the disembodied hand between its jaws and followed the animal, the Daily Star reports. It led him to a mass grave of 53 bin bags full of body parts – all while an international arts festival was taking place in the area.
Mendoza, the founder of a women's collective searching for missing persons, said: “While people from all over the world were celebrating the Cervantino festival (an international arts festival in the area), we were digging up bodies, and at the same time I thought it was useless because they were burying more people elsewhere.
