Human remains have been found in the search for missing teen Leah Croucher, after she disappeared in 2019. Thames Valley Police have identified human remains during forensic examinations in Loxbeare Drive, Milton Keynes, during the search for the 19-year-old.
The force said the forensic examination continues and will do for some time, and it is likely to take some time to formally identify the deceased, reports the Mirror. Leah's family continue to be kept informed and updated, and the media have been asked to respect their privacy.
It comes after a murder inquiry was launched by detectives after a rucksack and personal items belonging to the teen were also found following a tip off from the public on Monday. Specialist teams are still searching a property and will remain there "for a significant period of time", the force said.
