Hugo Ekitike's agent has vowed that he will make sure everyone remembers the Stade de Reims striker's name as talks continue over a move to Newcastle United.
Newcastle, of course, have already reached an agreement with Reims to sign Ekitike after revisiting a move for the highly-rated youngster. Ekitike did not feel ready to join Newcastle back in January, after only making his debut for Reims a few months previously, but, tellingly, the Magpies were not discouraged from returning to the negotiating table.
Newcastle's latest offer for Ekitike was accepted by Reims earlier this month and the total package with potential add-ons is believed to be around £30.6m although this would not be paid up front. Ekitike, whose season only finished less than two weeks ago, after representing France under-20s at the Maurice Revello tournament, is currently on holiday and his agent, Karl Mwalako Buchmann, remains in talks with Newcastle on his client's birthday.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Buchmann wrote: "Happy 20 son. We'll make sure every single one remember your name! It has already started..."
Newcastle are confident that there will be a positive conclusion to talks and Ekitike will, ultimately, make his name at St James' Park. It is worth noting that Borussia Dortmund, who are among those clubs who have monitored Ekitike, have appeared to turn their attention elsewhere in a bid to somehow replace Erling Haaland. Having already signed another 20-year-old with immense potential in Karim Adeyemi, who arrived from Red Bull Salzburg, Dortmund are now stepping up a bid for a more experienced number nine in Ajax star Sebastien Haller.
