Hughie Fury will fight against Michael Hunter in a WBA world title eliminator at the AO Manchester Arena on July 2nd. The 27-year-old will face the biggest fight of his career so far, and will know that a victory against the American will set him up for a fight against either fellow Briton Daniel Dubois or Trevor Bryan, who fight on June 11th.
Fury has a record of 26 wins and three losses and has previously fought for world heavyweight glory in 2017, when he took on Joseph Parker at the same Manchester venue during cousin Tyson's time away from the sport. He has since lost to Alexander Povetikin and Kubat Pulev but has bounced back well from those defeats and at just 27 could yet enjoy heavyweight glory.
American Hunter, 33, hails from California and has a record of 20 wins, two draws and a single loss against current world champion Oleksandr Usyk to his name. Usyk currently holds the WBA (Super) title, whereas this fight will be an eliminator in the regular division.

Fellow Manchester boxer Ricky Hatton will also return to the ring on the same night, in an exhibition fight against Marco Antonio Barrera, but this is subject to different promotion and broadcast details have not yet been confirmed.
The fight will be shown on Sky Sports, and ahead of the fight the No. 4 ranked contender Fury said: "I take the fights everyone avoids," He added. "Michael Hunter has fought the best and is up there with the best. These are the fights I want to show who is the best fighter out there.
"I'm looking forward to this challenge. I believe I'm one of the best fighters in the world and this is another big fight to prove I stand with the top three in the world heavyweight division."
