Hugh Jackman receives Tony Award nomination as best lead actor in a musical for performance in The Music Man

Hugh Jackman has been nominated for the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a musical for his singing and tapping performance in the Broadway revival of The Music Man.

The Australian, who won the same award in 2004 for his performance as Peter Allen in The Boy from Oz, this time is nominated for his performance as con man, Professor Harold Hill, in the American classic.
