A new community bookshop is set to open in a busy part of Edinburgh - supporting a different charity each month.
The Edinburgh Community Bookshop has moved in to a large vacant store on Great Junction Street, Leith, and will open its doors on October 1, although the team are already accepting donations of second-hand books.
Earlier in September staff uploaded a video and multiple pictures to Twitter showing off their new premises and appealed for as many donations as possible, as their large white shelves need stocked before the grand opening.

Charities across the capital have already dropped off collections of books to the second-hand store. At the start of September, a fundraiser was launched to make sure the opening date was not pushed back after acquiring the lease on the building.
They plan to employ a part-time paid manager along with a group of regular volunteers, with the opening times to be seven days a week, 10am-4pm, subject to change.
In the description section of the fundraiser they said: "We would ask the charity of the month to support us by providing leaflets, posters and collection cans as well as promoting through their social media and email lists to gain donations of books and perhaps some temporary volunteers to help in the shop.
"After accounting for all costs, the profits would then be donated to a different charity each month. Conservative forecasts suggest that we could be sending at least £2000 to a different charity every month, and it could be a lot more!"
The team are dedicated to helping locals out during one of the toughest financial climates to date and are catering to everyone's reading pleasures with genres including children's novels and foreign language books.
Anyone wishing to make a donation or check out their collection on October 1 can head over to 179-181 Great Junction Street, or visit their website here.
