A mountain was engulfed by a major fire, as the spate of grass fires continues across Wales. The fire in the Preselis in Pembrokeshire reached approximately 70 hectares of gorse, heather and grass.
Crews from Fishguard, Crymych, Haverfordwest, Narberth and Whitland attended the scene. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service say a small area of fire entered forestry but no trees were involved.
There have been a number of grass fire incidents across Wales in recent weeks. A large fire raged across grassland at Cefn Bryn in Gower on March 21, then a second blaze was reported at Kilvey Hill, St Thomas on March 22. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "Approx 70 hectares of gorse, heather and grass were destroyed by fire. Crews extinguished using beaters and Wild Fire blower. Crews left the scene at 00:45."
