A man has scaled the scaffolding on Trafford Town Hall this morning - sparking a huge emergency services response.
Police officers, fire crews and paramedics have been pictured outside the building on Talbot Road. A cordon has been put in place around the area, including on Talbot Road and on Brian Statham Way.
Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to a 'concern for welfare of a man on scaffolding' at around 5.38am this morning. The M.E.N understands the man has climbed up the scaffolding to the top of the building.

Specialist negotiators are on the scene now. In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 5:38am this morning (Thursday 29 December 2022), officers were called to a concern for welfare of a man on scaffolding in Trafford.
"Emergency services attended the scene on Talbot Road in Stretford. Officers and specialist negotiators remain at the scene."
