Fire crews battled a blaze at a Port Glasgow flat for nearly six hours as flames ripped through the roof of the residential block.
Emergency services raced to Highholm Street at around 3.30pm today after reports of a fire.
A video from the scene showed flames bursting through the roof of the building as firefighters attempted to extinguish the blaze.
The top of the building appears to have been completely destroyed in the fire.
Scottish Fire and Rescue service told the Record that they left the scene at 9.05pm but they have yet to confirm any more details of the fire.
A spokesperson said earlier: "We can confirm we are in attendance at Highholm Street, Port Glasgow after receiving multiple calls regarding the fire.
"We have six appliance at the scene, which are being supported by the command support unit."
There is currently no reports of any injuries.
