A wildfire has completely destroyed a huge area of grassland in Falkirk.
The blaze broke out on land near Reilly Road in Bonnybridge at around 4pm on Friday March 25.
Firefighters spent hours battling flames which covered approximately 500m x 500m.
Pictures showed a number of fire engines and specialist teams at the scene.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 4pm on Friday, 25 March to reports of a fire in the open near Reilley Road, Bonnybridge.
"Operations Control mobilised six appliances and specialist resources, including an all-terrain vehicle, to the scene to extinguish a large grass fire covering approximately 500m x 500m.
"Crews left later that evening after making the area safe."
