A huge sperm whale washed up on a beach at a popular seaside resort in Lincolnshire.
The 10-metre long whale was spotted just off the North Promenade in Cleethorpes yesterday afternoon (Friday), Grimsby Live reports. People were urged to keep away from the animal as coastguard workers and marine experts tried to ascertain whether or not the whale was in danger.
But due to the fast-rising tide, the whale - which had become stranded on its side - soon went back under the water. Experts believe it had sadly died.
