Michael Madsen's son Hudson has reportedly died at the age of 26.
The actor's son is said to have died by a gunshot wound to the head in Oahu, Hawaii.
A spokeswoman for the Department of the Medical Examiner in Honolulu confirmed the news to The Sun, but wouldn't comment on when the tragedy took place.
The spokeswoman told the outlet: "I can confirm Hudson Lee Madsen, 26, died by a gunshot wound to the head in a suspected suicide on the island of Oahu."
A source that the publication that Michael's mum DeAnna Madsen, 61, was travelling to Hawaii.
DeAnna is also an actress and has starred in the likes of The Price of Air, and Fall: The Price of Silence.
She has been married to Michael since 1996.
According to IMDB, Hudson was the godson of legendary movie director Quentin Tarantino, and according to Hudson's Facebook page, he lived in Hawaii with his wife Carlie.
He had served time in the US Army and is said to have spent time in Afghanistan.
The Mirror has contacted Michael's representatives for comment.
A rep from the family released a statement to The Blast, which read: "We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson.
"His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. We ask for privacy and respect during this difficult time. Thank you."
Hudson is the son of Hollywood star Michael Madsen, who has starred in hit movies such as Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2.
After the news of his death broke, fans took to social media to share messages of condolences.
One user on Twitter said: "#MichaelMadsen's son Hudson, an #AfghanWar veteran, dies of 'suspected suicide' in Hawaii at the age of 26. What a tragedy. Condolences to his family."
Another wrote: "May he rest in peace."
Hudson is survived by his wife, as well as his brothers Calvin, 25, and Luke, 16, and step-brothers Christian, 31, and Max, 27.
