Huddersfield Town supporters are far from pleased at the confirmation of a friendly against Olympiacos to be played next month during the World Cup break.
Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis also owns the perennial champions of Greece, and the Terriers have plenty of recent history with the two clubs. The Reds famously beat Huddersfield at Wembley Stadium in the Championship play-off final last May to earn Premier League promotion and followed that up by signing Harry Toffolo and Lewis O'Brien from the fallen finalists two months later.
In between those two events, Olympiacos appointed former Town boss Carlos Corberan less than a month after resigning from the club in the aftermath of that Wembley heartbreak, only to sack the now- West Bromwich Albion boss after just 11 matches in charge. Here is a selection of the social media reaction of Huddersfield fans showing their displeasure at the decision.

Bob Holness: Read the room, Huddersfield.
Brandan Hopper: Cancel it. I’d rather us go down than give them the satisfaction of us jumping to have a friendly against them.
Brian Potter: Someone on the wind-up again?
Joel Fearnley: Ah great!
Ellis Fisher: You know how to wind up your fans.
Harley: It has to be them doesn’t it
Jonathan Kenworthy: Is this some sort of sick joke?!
