HUBBALLI: HDMC has decided to launch awareness campaigns to educate people about the dangers of plastic. The environment department and the pollution control board have issued a notice announcing a ban on single-use plastics beginning July 1.
The HDMC held a coordination meeting with all hotel associations to review the implementation of the ban order. Health inspectors, environmental engineers, zonal assistant commissioners, and 40 other officials from all 12 zones will participate in this awareness campaign and begin seizing plastics in the city.
