CHANDIGARH: Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has arrested XEN (Horticulture) of Haryana Shahri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) and a Pharmacist, red-handed while accepting bribes worth Rs 30000 and Rs 10000 respectively. Both the officials have been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Bureau spokesperson said on Wednesday that in the first case the bureau team had caught Vijay Kumar, XEN (Horticulture) of HSVP posted at Hisar while accepting bribe money of Rs 30000 from the complainant in lieu of facilitating the payment of park and green belt maintenance.
In another case, Pharmacist Jaivir posted at District Jail, Jind has been caught red-handed by the Vigilance Bureau while accepting bribe of Rs 10,000. He was demanding the money in lieu of referring the complainant's father to civil hospital from district jail.
Cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act had been registered against both the accused in Bureau’s police stations. Further investigation of the cases is being done.
