Hozier at Cardiff Castle: Stage times, tickets, set list, support, banned items and more

It has been a great summer of music for Cardiff Castle with Blondie, Sting and The Chicks having already performed at the iconic Cardiff landmark. Now Irish singer-songwriter Hozier is taking to the stage on Thursday, July 6.

He is known for his hits Take Me To Church and Cherry Wine, with his lyrics often based on religious and literacy themes. You can keep up to date with the latest What's On news by signing up to the newsletter here.

Stage times

Doors to the concert open at 5pm and the last entry is 8pm. The acts go on stage as follows:

6.40pm - Victoria Canal

7.35pm - The Tesky Brothers

9.00pm - Hozier

Opening acts for Hozier are singer songwriter Victoria Canal and Australia blues rock band The Tesky Brothers.

Are there road closures?

There will be no city centre road closures for the Castle gig, but traffic will be paused temporarily on Castle Street as people leave the gig.

Where to park

There's no parking at the castle, but Cardiff has plenty of parking in the city centre.

City centre car parks will be available including North Road car parks, St David's Shopping Centre, John Lewis, Capitol Shopping Centre and the NCP car parks at Adam Street, Dumfries Place and Greyfriars Road. There's also parking at Sophia Gardens and Cardiff Arms Park.

There are still tickets available and you can book your tickets here. Ticket prices are starting at £44. Tickets via Ticketmaster will be found on the Ticketmaster app, so download that ahead of the gig.

The box office will be open from 3pm on the day of the event and is located at the North gate entrance. This is accessible near the Castle Mews of North Road and inside Bute Park.

General information

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. All bars and traders are card only.
