Newcastle United are in the final four of the League Cup for the first time in almost 50 years after a fine 2-0 win over Leicester City at St James' Park. The Magpies wasted a handful of chances in the opening 45 minutes but eventually made the visitors pay with a fine second-half display.
Dan Burn notched his first Newcastle goal as he slotted beyond Danny Ward at the Gallowgate End midway through the second period. The defender was subsequently mobbed by his co-stars as he slid towards the stands in delight.

Howe's rousing speech
Dan Burn's post-match dressing room dancing took the spotlight at full-time as Sky Sports cameras filmed the scenes in the home dressing room after the win. But before Burn showed off his moves, Howe delivered a short but fantastic speech to his group of players.
Aware of the cameras behind him, the Newcastle head coach vowed to 'keep it short and sweet' as he praised his side's efforts. "Life and football for me is about moments," Howe began.
"There are two moments that I want you to reflect on today. The first one is the final whistle. Through to the semi-final of a cup competition. Fantastic. The second one is Dan Burn's goal in front of the Gallowgate."
The home dressing room began applauding for Burn after his maiden strike, with some urging him to stand up and say a few words. Instead, Burn decided to stand up, face the camera and perform an incredible dance which has already been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on social media.
Burn's passionate rallying cry
Burn may have took the headlines after the game after his starring role - but he was also one of the more vocal members of the team before kick-off. As Newcastle fans in every corner of the ground waved their flags and scarves in tandem, the Magpies players looked well and truly up for the clash that lay ahead of them.
As the Magpies lined up side by side before kick-off, many looked in awe of the scenes unfolding in the stands as fans roared them on. Burn, in turn, looked down the line at his fellow co-stars and yelled: 'F****** come on" in a bid to gee up the Newcastle XI.
It certainly worked as Howe's side flew out the traps in the early stages.
Shearer and Solano watch on
Hidden among the sell-out crowd were two very familiar faces on Tyneside in the form of Alan Shearer and Nobby Solano, who watched the cup clash from a box inside St James' Park.
Shearer tweeted mid-game that Newcastle 'could do with this magician out there' as he posed for a photo with his Peruvian former team-mate.
Big Al also took to Instagram before the game to post a video of the pre-match scenes as fans waved their scarves and belted out the words to Blaydon Races. Even Shearer himself couldn't resist having a little sing-song...
