Howe's little touches, Karius role and Miggy delight - Unseen moments show Newcastle United's unity

As the full-time whistle sounded in the capital on Sunday evening, Newcastle United players celebrated a monumental win as they climbed into the Premier League top four. The rampant, bustling away following, 3000 strong, stayed behind to serenade their heroes after the victory as both the players and staff made their way over to the travelling support.

Callum Wilson joined in with the chants of 'Up the Premier League we go', Graeme Jones was hugging everyone in sight and there was a unified front about Eddie Howe 's squad as supporters begin to dream of what could be possible between now and next May.

Howe spent the final few minutes on the Tottenham Hotspur turf congratulating each and every member of his playing squad and backroom staff. There was a huge, beaming smile across his face as he hugged Bruno Guimaraes, no doubt talking about how baby Matteo would be at home waiting for him.

Jamaal Lascelles and Ryan Fraser, both unused substitutes in the 2-1 win, received hugs and handshakes from the boss, as if they had been out on the pitch themselves. These little touches are why Howe commands such respect in this dressing room, even with those first-team players struggling for regular game time.

One player who doesn't look like receiving minutes on the pitch any time soon is Loris Karius. The German goalkeeper arrived in an emergency deal after the summer window closed but has had to make do with acting as backup for the in-form Nick Pope.

Karius may not have featured for the Magpies just yet but made his way over to the away corner at the end of the evening, hanging around in the background as to not take too much of the adulation from the stands. The stopper did though congratulate co-stars such as Sven Botman and Chris Wood for their roles in the narrow victory, with a hug and a firm pat on the back respectively.

Then there is Miguel Almiron, the latest success story of the Howe reign. Another goal added to his tally in London on Sunday and another display which has earned him the support of the entire Newcastle fanbase. It hasn't always been like this for the Paraguayan, who has flattered to deceive in a black and white shirt in the past. This time, however, he intends to saviour this new-found credit with the St James' Park faithful.

As the players took the applause from the visiting fans, Almiron stood with his smile even wider than usual, fist-pumping and geeing up the crowd. The winger looks like a player full of confidence as we approach the World Cup break.

Howe has galvanised the entire squad and the fanbase in a matter of months, with everyone pulling in the same direction. The scenes after the final whistle on Sunday are proof that confidence and excitement are at levels seldom seen in recent years on Tyneside.
