Howard Webb is planning some major Premier League rule changes that would impact Everton and Liverpool

PGMOL chief Howard Webb has revealed supporters could soon hear referees justify their decisions as he looks to ‘draw the curtain back’ on communications.

Since VAR was introduced at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, both Everton and Liverpool supporters have run into problems with the system. One point that has been discussed at great length is how VAR is used, with fans often being left in the dark around the decision process that officials are making.

But according to Webb, who refereed in the Premier League between 2005 and 2014 returned to the UK to take over at the Professional Game Match Officials Board, change is on the way as the PGMOL are working at great length to make things clearer for supporters.
