West Ham United have dropped into the Premier League’s relegation zone following their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The Hammers currently sit 18th in the table and a point of safety after a loss at rivals Spurs saw West Ham suffer their first defeat in five matches in all competitions.
It was the end of a three-game league run for West Ham which saw them face Newcastle United, Chelsea and Spurs in consecutive weekends.

Next up is a meeting at home to 13th place Nottingham Forest on Saturday, who themselves only sit clear of the relegation zone by five points.
In their next four league games West Ham have the second hardest fixture list, on paper, of sides currently sat in the bottom five.
It was a major weekend for the overhaul of the bottom three. Everton, Bournemouth and Southampton started the weekend as the bottom three, but the trio all recorded wins against Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea respectively. As a result, the Toffees and the Cherries escaped the drop zone, while West Ham and Leeds dropped into it.
Managerless Leeds United have the joint-easiest four-match run to come, alongside bottom club Southampton, with the duo facing each other on Saturday.
Bournemouth, sat in 19th, have the toughest run, with their next four opponents including Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Here is a look at the current bottom five’s next four fixtures and how they compare to the rest of the sides currently fighting to beat the drop, with Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest and Wolves only narrowly ahead of the current bottom five.
