Awards season is careering towards its zenith: the Oscars are now less than two months away, and the nominees are going to be announced on Tuesday.
Film's most prestigious award ceremony is always a fun affair: from the star-studded red carpet, to the heartfelt speeches, to finding out who picked up the coveted prizes, it's great fun to tune in for the drama.
And, excitingly, this year in the UK you can watch the Oscars exclusively on ITV and ITVX. It's the first time in almost two decades that audiences will be able to watch the Academy Awards on the British broadcaster.
Here's everything you need to know about ITV's celebrity-packed Oscar programming.
Can I watch the nominees announcement?
Yes. This year's nominees will be shared with the world on January 23. The big announcement will be streamed live on ITV and ITVX at a time that is still to be confirmed.
News broadcaster Charlene White and Arts Editor Nina Nannar will co-host the ITV show, introducing the films, actors and creatives who will be in the running for the major trophies.
When is the ceremony and how can I watch it?
This year's Academy Awards will be taking place on Sunday March 10 at 4pm Los Angeles time and at 11pm London time.
ITV's exciting new live companion show, hosted by Jonathan Ross, will start at 10.30pm on both ITV 1 and ITVX. Described as "the ultimate Oscars party" the show will see Ross, a panel of movie-loving stars and yet-to-be-announced special guests, following all the drama that goes down on Hollywood's biggest night.
In addition ITV will have correspondent Ross King broadcasting live from the star-studded Los Angeles red carpet from 9.30pm.
ITV is also promising "brand new, exclusive behind-the-scenes content" which will be shared on ITVX throughout the evening – more details on which will soon follow.
What if I can't tune in for the live show?
Fear not. The next day ITV will be releasing a 90-minute highlights episode which will feature all the best bits from the 2024 Academy Awards. It will air on ITV 1 on 10.45pm on March 11 and will be also be available to watch on ITVX.
And if I'm hungry for more?
For film fans and celebrity devotees, ITV is also lunching a curated FAST channel (which can be found on ITVX) wholly dedicated to Oscar content from February 26.
It will feature a special Oscar-focused version of Jonathan Ross's Must-Watch film show, as well as a number of older Oscar-nominated films, such as Winter's Bone and Precious.
