The 2024 Giro d'Italia is well underway after over two weeks of racing with the final days of the race coming up quick.
Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) has been unstoppable so far in his Giro debut and remains the overwhelming favourite to take home the maglia rosa. Behind him, the battle for the podium is still on with Dani Martinez (Bora-Hansgrohe), Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers), Ben O'Connor (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale), and Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain Victorious) all in the mix.
The Slovenian quickly stamped his authority on the Corsa Rosa on stage 2 by winning at the summit finish in Oropa, extended his lead by winning the stage 7 individual time trial, and then won his third stage the next day at Prati di Tivo. He extended his lead further still in the second and final time trial of the race before adding two more stage wins to his total on stages 15 and 16.
