Taylor Swift will be dropping a teaser trailer for her tenth studio album 'Midnights' just hours before its released to the public tonight. The global superstar will be leaking a teaser during NFL's Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime.
The 32-year-old singer told her fans to tune into the third quarter of Thursday Night Football (October, 20) for a special teaser trailer and some fans are speculating that the trailer could be snippets of new music videos, a documentary announcement or more hints at her upcoming tour.
Swifties were tipped off about the teaser when Swift confirmed it on her Instagram post showing the premier on her schedule and tweet she sent on Thursday morning (October 20), where she invites fans to meet her there.

She says: "Hey guys, it's Taylor. If you tune into the Thursday night football game on Amazon Prime, I'm going to be showing a first look at the secret projects that I've been working on very hard, for a very long time, getting ready for the Midnights album. And you would see it before the Midnights album came out, so meet me there?"
It's not known why Taylor is choosing Thursday's football to drop her Midnights teaser trailer but it's worth noting that the Amazon broadcasts of the games have generated a lot of attention, and average at over 10 million viewers per game, so the trailer will likely to be viewed by a huge audience.
The major thing for UK fans though is of course the time difference. When the Thursday night football game between New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals is aired at 8.15pm time US (EST) time , it will be 1.15am in the UK (October 21) (BST) . So fans who want to watch it will have to stay up pretty late. And then there's the question of it can it be viewed here in the UK?
How to watch Taylor Swift's Midnights teaser trailer in the UK
According to Taylor Swift herself, the "Midnights" teaser trailer will be aired at some point in the third quarter of the game. The games run for about three hours on average so the third quarter should run from an estimated 9.45pm in the US to 10.30pm, though it could start later or run longer depending on the pace of the game.
That means in the UK, fans can expect to see the announcement from any time from 2.45am to 3.30am (October 21). So can you watch it in the UK?
Amazon Prime has the exclusive rights to air Thursday Night Football games from the NFL in the US. In the UK, Sky is the main place to watch NFL this season. Sky continues to share the rights despite Amazon having exclusivity in the U.S.
So if you’re a Sky Q customer with Sky Sports, simply tune into the NFL channel when games are on to watch them live or you can also watch it via a family member's Sky package via Sky Go. The New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals coverage starts from 12am (October 21) on Sky.

It's worth noting though that Sky may not have, or show the same adverts as Amazon Prime, so there's a risk here. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
So your other option if you want to watch the Taylor Swift announcement live is the NFL game pass, it's the sport's official online streaming service in the UK which allows you to watch games live or on-demand throughout the season. It does cost though, at £14.99 for a weekly option.
A final one which is a bit more technical is signing up for a VPN. VPN stands for Virtual Private Network and essentially it's a software that extends a private network across a public one, enabling users to send and receive data safely. With a VPN you can manually tweak your IP address so if you want to access Amazon Prime you can by changing your IP and making it appear as though you're on holiday in the US.
It also means that logging on to apps like Amazon Prime in another country on a VPN will allow you to watch programmes available in that country too. Express VPN has a deal at the moment which costs £7.63.

Taylor Swift's "Midnights" album will be released at midnight (ET) on Friday, October 21. The teaser video will air a couple of hours before the full album is made available.
