How to watch the Super Bowl 2024 for free

How to watch the Super Bowl in the US
Broadcast rights to the Super Bowl cycles each year. In 2024 the rights fall to CBS, and boy is the network making it easy to watch the game. Kickoff is at 6:30 pm ET/3:30 pm PT, though lots of the coverage will begin ahead of time.
Three different channels will air broadcasts of the Super Bowl: CBS for standard coverage, Univision for Spanish-language coverage and Nickelodeon for a broadcast focused towards younger audiences.
Traditional pay-TV providers always include CBS as part of their lineup, meaning anyone with that kind of cable subscription can watch the game. Also, if you have a TV antenna, you can receive your local CBS station's signal over the air. But if you've decided to cut the cord, several live TV streaming services offer these channels, or combinations of them at least.
Fubo, on its $74.99-per-month Pro package, DirecTV, on its $114.99-per-month Ultimate package and YouTube TV on its single $72.99-per-month plan offer all three channels. Nice and simple.
DirecTV's $69.99-per-month Entertainment package has CBS and Univision but no Nickelodeon, while Hulu with Live TV's single $69.99-per-month plan has CBS and Nickelodeon but no Univision. If you just want Nickelodeon, though, Philo TV carries the channel and costs just $25 each month, though it does not carry CBS and Univision.
The most affordable and accessible way to watch, though, is by using Paramount Plus. This $5.99 per month (or $59.99-per-year) streamer will host a live stream of the Super Bowl, and the app works on almost anything with a screen (and internet connection).
Another option is the NFL Plus streaming service, which allows subscribers to stream nationally televised games, including the Super Bowl. The only drawback is that you can only do so on a mobile device.
How to watch the Super Bowl in the UK
A few different channels in the UK will air the Super Bowl 2024, which kicks off at 11:30 pm. I'd personally recommend ITV. Why's that? Well, because it's free (if you pay a licence fee)!

The other two channels showing the Super Bowl are Sky Sports and Sky Showcase, so you'll need to subscribe to Sky TV to watch them. Showcase is included in the £26-per-month basic bundle but you'll need to pay an extra £22 per month for the Sky Sports bundle to watch from that channel.
