Liverpool travel to St Mary's tonight looking to take the Premier League title chase into the final matchday of the season. Manchester City's 2-2 draw with West Ham on Sunday has left the door ever-so-slightly ajar for the Reds, who know nothing but three points will be enough to keep their hopes alive tonight on the South coast.
The Reds are, however, likely to heavily rotate coming off the back of their FA Cup heroics against Chelsea on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp will need to use the depths of his entire squad if he is to compete on a physical level with an energetic Hasenhuttl side who come into the game off the back of a 10-day rest.
In recent years, Liverpool have enjoyed a strong record against The Saints. Klopp's men have won eight of their last nine fixtures against Southampton. They did though lose this fixture last season 0-1 thanks to an early goal from former Reds striker Danny Ings.

What is the early Southampton vs Liverpool team news?
Liverpool continue to be without Fabinho. It is also unlikely Mohamed Salah or Virgil van Dijk will feature having left the field during the FA Cup final win over Chelsea with injuries.
All players who completed 120 minutes on Saturday will have question marks over their ability to feature from the off, leaving the door open to fringe players like Joe Gomez, Divock Origi, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Harvey Elliot potentially in line for rare starts.
Southampton, meanwhile, continue to be without Valentino Livramento. Hasenhuttl is, however, confident that recent absentees in the form of keeper Fraser Forster and forward Stuart Armstrong will both be fit enough to feature.
