Scotland had the dubious honour of facing hosts Germany in the opening game of Euro 2024 and it turned out to be a chastening night for Steve Clarke's side. The Scots were already 2-0 down when Ryan Porteous was sent off for a foul on Ilkay Gundogan, and with 10 men they found it impossible to stop the Germans adding to their tally, eventually running out 5-1 winners.
