Pokémon fans awaiting the first Pokémon Scarlet & Violet expansion should brace themselves.
The Pokémon Company has announced that a new Pokémon Presents presentation will take place next week, when we’ll almost certainly learn the new DLC’s release date.
For the uninitiated, the online showcase is where fans go to hear about the franchise’s biggest gaming announcements.
Here’s what you need to know about the next presentation, including how to tune in live and everything you can expect.
When is Pokémon Presents?
The latest virtual showcase will take place at 2pm UK time on August 8, The Pokémon Company announced on Friday.
It’s been more than five months since the last Pokémon Presents livestream on February 27, which occurred on Pokémon Day, the annual celebration of the first release of Pokémon Red and Green Version in Japan.
This latest presentation will be slightly longer than the last one at 35 minutes. This suggests The Pokémon Company has some juicy news to reveal after teasing a new game and add-on earlier this year.
It’s time for the next #PokemonPresents, Trainers! 🤩

How to watch Pokémon Presents live
As always, fans will be able to catch all the announcements live on the official Pokémon Youtube channel.
What to expect at Pokémon Presents
We already got a taster of what Pokémon has in store for players during Nintendo Direct in June.
Next week, we’re expecting to hear more about the titles that were announced during that event, including Detective Pikachu Returns and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s first expansion.
We already know that the DLC will be split into two parts, with the first, The Teal Mask, due out this autumn, followed by The Indigo Disk in the winter. The expansion will whisk players out of the Paldea region to a new locale known as Kitakami.
This weekend also marks the start of Pokémon Go Fest 2023, the first major Pokémon event to be held in London. More festivities are also planned for New York and the rest of the world later in July, so details on those should be dished out, too.
There may also be news on Pokémon Sleep - the sleep-tracking equivalent of Pokémon Go - which only recently arrived in July. But, we’re more likely to get updates for mobile games Pokemon Masters EX and Unite.
