How to watch or stream Game 5 of the 2023 World Series live online free without cable

Halloween was a spooky night for Diamondback fans. The Texas Rangers took a commanding lead in Game 4 of the 2023 World Series and never looked back. Now, with Game Five looming, the question is… will the Rangers claim their first World Series victory tonight?

Arizona has the home field advantage, but that hasn’t helped them out for the past two games. The Rangers, though, are having to juggle injuries to right fielder Adolis Garcia and Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer, which could be a devastating blow. Both players are out for the rest of the Series.

It’s bringing back bad memories of 2011, when the Rangers were one strike away from winning, only to fall short, but for viewers it makes for a riveting television event.

Ready to catch Game Five? Here’s all you’ll need to know.

When and where is the 2023 World Series being played?

Game 5 (Arizona): Wed., Nov 1, 8:03 p.m. ET on Fox

Game 6 (Texas, if necessary): Friday, Nov. 3, 8:03 p.m. ET on Fox

Game 7 (Texas, if necessary): Saturday, Nov. 4, 8:03 p.m. ET on Fox

How can I watch the 2023 World Series for free—even if I don't have cable?

All you need is an over-the-air antenna. The World Series is being broadcast on Fox, meaning you've got a very good chance of watching the game without cable. Antennas usually ranges between $10 and $20. To ensure you're getting the most reliable signal, get a good HD antenna and test it in multiple locations in your home.

Can I stream the 2023 World Series live online if I don't have a cable subscription?

Absolutely! If you do have a cable subscription, the game is being streamed live on the Fox Sports Go app. (You can also try logging into Fox.com or use the Fox Now app.) Otherwise, try one of these.

Disney+

Disney's bundle of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ no longer has a free trial, so you’ll have to pay $15 per month for all three combined (or $25 per month for no ads on Hulu).

Including Live TV in the bundle bumps the price to $77 per month ($90 with no ads).

Hulu with Live TV

The free trial on this service is no longer offered, as well. It will now cost you $77 per month.

YouTubeTV

After up to a two-week trial, you can expect monthly charges of $73. YouTube is also now the home of Sunday Ticket. Prices on that service currently range from $300 to $439 for the season, with the current discounts.

Sling TV

Dish Network's Sling lower-tiered "Orange" plan will run you $40 per month. Adding the more comprehensive "Blue" plan bumps the cost to $55 per month. The seven-day free trial has disappeared, but the cord-cutting service is offering 50% off of the first month’s bill.

DirecTV Stream

Formerly known as DirecTV Now, AT&T TVNow, and AT&T TV, this oft-renamed streaming service will run you $75 per month and up after the free trial option.

Fubo TV

This sports-focused cord-cutting service carries broadcast networks in most markets. There's a seven-day free trial, followed by monthly charges of $75 and up, depending on the channels you choose.

Does Major League Baseball offer any viewing options to watch the World Series?

Yes, and it caters to both people who want to see the action and those who prefer to just listen to it.

MLB.TV offers every post season game, including archived broadcasts of the playoffs. There's no free trial, but for $24.99, you can watch the World Series games. If you’d prefer to only listen to the games, that will cost just $3.99. Either way, you will need to authenticate a subscription to a participating Pay TV provider to stream the games live.

How many World Series titles have the Rangers and Diamondbacks won?

The Diamondbacks have only won the October Classic one time — in 2001. The Rangers, as mentioned, have never won, one of just six teams to not have any World Series victories to their name.
