How to watch Man City vs Southampton - TV channel and live stream details

Manchester City are back in Premier League action on Saturday afternoon when they host Southampton in the Premier League.

It has been a positive week for Pep Guardiola's team on the pitch which all started with the 6-3 dismantling of Manchester United on Sunday. City then carried on their momentum with a 5-0 thrashing of FC Copenhagen in the Champions League.

That result has put the Blues in an excellent position to qualify for the knockout stages of the European competition having beaten all three of their group-stage opponents so far. Next up are Ralph Hasenhuttl's men who have struggled for form this season and find themselves just a point above the drop zone ahead of their trip up north.

Early team news

City's main blow this week came when it was confirmed that Kyle Walker would be out of action for some time following successful surgery on his groin following an injury that occurred during the Manchester derby. This will likely give Sergio Gomez a chance to impress in his place though.

Elsewhere, Kalvin Phillips remains out following his own surgery but Aymeric Laporte did return in midweek to offer Guardiola another option at the back. In the Southampton camp, Hasenhuttl is buoyed by having a number of former City players in his side including Gavin Bazunu and Samuel Edozie who both featured in the defeat to Everton last weekend.
