Manchester City have the opportunity to reduce the gap between themselves and Premier League leaders Arsenal to five points this weekend.
Mikel Arteta's side took full advantage of City's league fixture being postponed due to their FA Cup quarter-final vs Vincent Kompany's Burnley before the international break, extending their lead to eight points. The defending champions do now have a game in hand and also play before the north London side on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola's men must first get the job done against Liverpool, who still harbour hope of securing Champions League qualification. Arsenal are in action against a rejuvenated Leeds United later in the day.
