While the stars of the Republican party gather in Milwaukee Tuesday, the stars of Major League Baseball will be holding a convention of their own 1,000 miles to the southwest.

The 2024 MLB All-Star Game is here, marking the halfway point of the season and a chance for baseball’s best to show off to fans. Held this year at Globe Life Field in Houston, the 94th All-Star Game will include 37 first-time All-Stars.

The National League is the defending champion, having beaten the American League last year by a score of 3-2, something of a rarity since 2012.

Thinking of taking a night off from politics? Here’s all the information you need.

What’s the best way to watch the 2024 MLB All-Star Game online?

There are a lot of options.

MLB.TV

The league’s official streaming service is the best way to catch the action. MLB.tv offers a seven-day free trial, after which you’ll pay $30 per month or $150 for the season.

Fubo TV

This sports-focused cord-cutting service carries broadcast networks in most markets. There's a seven-day free trial, followed by monthly charges of $75 and up, depending on the channels you choose.

Disney+

Disney's bundle of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ no longer has a free trial, so you’ll have to pay $15 per month for all three combined (or $25 per month for no ads on Hulu).

Including Live TV in the bundle bumps the price to $77 per month ($90 with no ads).

Hulu with Live TV

The free trial on this service is no longer offered, as well. It will now cost you $77 per month.

YouTubeTV

After up to a two-week trial, you can expect monthly charges of $73.

Sling TV

Dish Network's Sling lower-tiered "Orange" plan will run you $40 per month. Adding the more comprehensive "Blue" plan bumps the cost to $55 per month. The seven-day free trial has disappeared, but the cord-cutting service is offering 50% off of the first month’s bill.

DirecTV Stream

Formerly known as DirecTV Now, AT&T TVNow and AT&T TV, this oft-renamed streaming service will run you $75 per month and up after the free trial option.
