England host France today as the Six Nations edges towards its conclusion in 2023.
It was a rough start for the Steve Borthwick era at Twickenham, with Eddie Jones’ successor condemned to a home Calcutta Cup defeat by old rivals Scotland in his very first match in charge.
However, England have bounced back with consecutive wins over Italy and Wales that while cerainly short on swashbuckling attacking rugby, did at least showcase other fundamental improvements made during the former Leicester coach’s short tenure to date.

Borthwick has gone with Marcus Smith over captain Owen Farrell at fly-half for a showdown with the French, suggesting they are committed to a more up-tempo approach this afternoon.
France have sandwiched defeat by Ireland in an absolute epic with wins over Italy and Scotland, though have not come close to reaching the Grand Slam heights of 2022 so far with a home World Cup approaching fast on the horizon later this year.
Les Bleus have not won a Six Nations match at Twickenham since way back in 2005 - a woeful run they will be absolutely determined to end this weekend.
