Real Madrid’s preseason continues apace as Los Blancos take on Real Club Deportivo de A Coruña on Wednesday.
José Mourinho’s charge has returned from a mini-tour of Central Europe where it drew Fiorentina 2–2 in Austria, before defeating Hungarian giants Ferencváros 2–1 in Budapest on Saturday, with goals from new signing Carlos Espí and academy star Mario Rivas.
Now, it’s a return to Spanish soil as Madrid travel to Galicia to face newly-promoted Deportivo at the Riazor Stadium to contest the 81st edition of the Teresa Herrera Trophy.
The trophy is an annual preseason match hosted by Deportivo, with Madrid last competing in the fixture thirteen years ago in the summer of 2013—shortly after the end of Mourinho’s last reign at the club.
