WrestleMania starts tonight as WWE’s biggest event of the year takes centre stage in Las Vegas.
Since 2020, WWE’s annual flagship event has grown into a two night spectacle and that tradition will continue for a sixth successive year.
Due to the financial success of WrestleMania 41, this year's Premium Live Event (PLE) is once again being held at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
The main event will see Randy Orton challenge Cody Rhodes for the undisputed WWE championship. This bout came about after Orton was successful in the men's Elimination Chamber match in February, earning the right to go after his 15th world title against the man he has a storied history with.
Rhodes, who began his third reign by beating Drew McIntyre on the March 6 episode of WWE Smackdown, was part of a stable with Orton called 'the Legacy' between 2008 to 2010 and has felt betrayed by his one-time mentor in the build up to this title showdown.
Pat McAfee, WWE's commentator, is an additional factor in this match - despite having little connection with the champion or challenger - as he will be forced to leave the professional wrestling industry for good if Orton loses.
In the other world title match, the 2026 women's Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan will receive her first-ever singles championship opportunity at WrestleMania against Stephanie Vaquer in what promises to be a physical battle.
Becky Lynch seeks to recapture the WWE women's Intercontinental championship and ruin AJ Lee's first WrestleMania appearance in over a decade and the tag team titles are on the line in a fatal four-way match where Nia Jax and Lash Legend are at a distinct disadvantage.
Meanwhile, Jacob Fatu looks to settle a personal score with McIntyre in an unsanctioned match and Seth Rollins takes on Gunther - who retired this year's WrestleMania host John Cena four months ago.
Elsewhere on the WrestleMania 42 Saturday card, popular influencer and online streamer IShowSpeed teams with Logan Paul and Austin Theory in a six-man tag match against The Usos and LA Knight (yeah!).
