For reigning champions Arsenal, it’s been three months since their last Premier League match. For Coventry City, it’s been a little over 25 years.

The new 2026–27 campaign commences with a clash between one of the Premier League’s ever-presents and a long-anticipated returnee this Friday, with Coventry journeying to the Emirates Stadium for their comeback fixture.

Mikel Arteta’s men flexed their muscles in last weekend’s traditional curtain-raiser, beating Manchester City 3–0 in the Community Shield to set the tone. The Sky Blues were kings of the Championship last term, but this is an entirely different stratosphere for Frank Lampard and his players.

What Time Does Arsenal vs. Coventry Kick Off?

Emirates Stadium is the venue for Arsenal and Coventry’s clash with a kick off time of 8 p.m BST., 3 p.m. ET, 12 p.m. PT. The referee for the game will be Tom Bramall, accompanied by Jarred Gillett in the VAR chair.

Audiences in the United States have a wide selection of broadcasters for the Premier League opener. Telemundo Deportes, fuboTV, UNIVERSO, TeleXitos and the USA Network are all showing the game.

Only DAZN and fuboTV are offering the match in Canada, while Fox is the sole option for fans in Mexico.

Sky Sports will be showing the game in the United Kingdom.

What’s Next for Arsenal, Coventry?

Arsenal will have 10 days before they return to the field, next taking on Aston Villa on the road on Monday, Aug. 31. A similarly tricky fixture follows when Chelsea visit the Emirates on Sep. 6.

Coventry are back in action midweek, however, traveling to Plymouth Argyle for the second round of the Carabao Cup. They then face fellow newly-promoted side Hull City in the Premier League on Aug. 29.
