After almost two years of the coronavirus pandemic with many travel restrictions and unpredictability, many people haven’t had the opportunity to travel to destinations since 2019.
As the new year is rapidly approaching, some people hope to take a trip to a new place, or even just take a bit of time off and stay local to unwind.
But what are the best days to take off in the upcoming year to get the most out of vacation time?
According to Eurochange, there’s a way to schedule 22 days of annual leave to get 54 days off work in 2022.
In the UK, employees’ minimum annual leave entitlement is 28 days. Employers also have the option to include eight permitted bank holidays within that total.
With the extra bank holiday included by Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee in June, using 22 days of annual leave could give you more than double that, racking up 54 days off.
“It’s never been more important to take a break and look after your mental health, so we encourage that you book in some time off as soon as you can. That way, you’ll have more time to plan your holiday and give you something to look forward to all year round,” said Charles Stewart, the managing director at Eurochange.
Below are the exact dates to mark in your calendar to get the most out of your annual leave.
