The Strider 300 is the newest sniper rifle arriving in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 3, joining the Hawker HX and VS Recon as part of the game’s bolt-action lineup.
If you’re looking for a sniper built for quickscoping and high mobility, this might be your new primary. Here’s how you can get your hands on the Strider 300 in Black Ops 7 and Warzone.

How to unlock the Strider 300 in BO7 and Warzone
According to Activision, the Strider 300 offers better handling and a slightly faster fire rate compared to the Hawker HX and VS Recon. While it deals a bit less damage than other bolt-action snipers, it still packs enough punch to be deadly, capable of one-shot eliminations in BO7 Multiplayer and downing unarmored enemies with a single chest-up hit in Warzone.
Its Prestige Attachment, the MFS Ballast Guard Stabilizer underbarrel, greatly improves aim walking steadiness and aiming movement speed while significantly reducing idle sway. This lets you stay mobile while scoped in, making you much harder for enemies to track and hit.
Unlike some of the other new weapons this season, like the MK35 ISR and VST, the Strider 300 isn’t part of the BO7 and Warzone Season 3 Battle Pass. Instead, it’s tied to a limited-time event.
To unlock it, you’ll need to participate in the Lost Outpost Event, which goes live at the start of Season 3 on Thursday, April 2. The event is available across BO7 Multiplayer, Zombies, Co-Op/Endgame, and Warzone, so you can progress no matter which mode you prefer.
During the event, eliminated enemies will drop a special item called Beacons. Collecting these Beacons will help you reach milestone rewards, which include weapon camos, operator skins, cosmetics, a Legendary blueprint for the Akita shotgun, and of course, the Strider 300 sniper.
At the time of writing, Activision hasn’t confirmed exactly how many Beacons are required to unlock the new sniper rifle. More details are expected once the event goes live.
