The title’s biggest novelty when compared to the franchise’s previous installments, Mario Tennis Fever‘s Fever Racket mechanic allows you to further customize your favorites and get access to 30 unique special shots.
But in true Mario fashion, unlocking the vast majority of them requires significant grinding. To help you do so as soon as possible and surprise your friends in either local or online play, here’s how to unlock all fever rackets in Mario Tennis Fever.

Best Fever Rackets in Mario Tennis Fever

Thanks to its shot’s ability to turn both you and your returns invisible, the Ghost Racket is widely considered to be the best pick in Mario Tennis Fever, no matter if you are playing singles, doubles, or any other game mode. The Shadow Racket is also among my favorites and is an absolute menace in singles. After all, it allows you to turn a standard game into an impossible-to-survive 2v1 slaughterfest.
As you can guess, rackets whose shots can either lock opponents in place or isolate large portions of the court are also perfect tools. The best example of that can be seen in the Amp and Fire Bar Rackets, which can set up hazard zones.
To recap, here are the best rackets in Mario Tennis Fever, as well as a quick overview of their special shots:
- Ghost Racket (Ghost Boost): Causes your player to turn invisible when not serving. Your returns will also become invisible after crossing the net for a limited time.
- Shadow Racket (Shadow Boost): Produces a shadow copy of your player, which will automatically return shots for a set amount of time.
- Amp Racket (Amp Shot): Places Amps at the spots the ball first bounces after both the shot and subsequent returns. The Amps will be connected by an electric current, which will shock all opponents who touch it.
- Fire Bar Rackets (Fire Bar Shot): Produces a rotating Fire Bar at the spot where the shot first bounces. Allows you to create mixups by focusing on the spot with well-timed returns.
With the rackets taken care of, we also highly recommend that you take a look at the full 2026 Sports and Racing Games Release Date Calendar. In case you want something a little more focused, however, taking a look at our 2026 shortlist might be all you need.
