Leeds Festival 2022 is now right around the corner, but, unfortunately, a minority of would-be festival goers fall victim to ticket scams every year.
As one of the UK's most popular festivals, it's no surprise that music fans want to get their hands on a ticket to Leeds. This year's event sees Dave, Rage Against The Machine, Halsey, Arctic Monkeys, Wolf Alice, and Bring Me The Horizon all set to perform.
Organisers are warning against buying tickets from unauthorised sources. They have warned about both fake tickets and real ones being sold at exorbitant resale prices.

How to spot scam tickets for Leeds Festival
The best way to avoid scammers is to buy from an official ticket agent. However, the Festival Republic, the company that organises Leeds Festival, provide some guidance for avoiding fake tickets:
- Do not buy from an unofficial ticket agent
- Do not buy from internet auction sites.
- Do not buy a ticket online without seeing its face value.
- Do not pay more than the authorised standard booking fee per ticket. These are displayed on the authorised sites.
- If you live in the UK do not buy from a website with an overseas office address or with no registered address shown.
- Do not buy from another individual or tout, either in advance in your home town, or outside the event If you ignore these pointers you are likely to pay a lot of money for something worthless as your ticket will be invalid.
They also provide a list of authorised and unauthorised ticket agents, and run an information line (020 7009 3001) that you can call to confirm whether a vendor is approved.
What to do if you've been a victim of fraud
If you have been a victim of a ticket scam, Leeds Festival recommend that you contact Action Fraud via their website or on 0300 123 2040.
