Alpha vs Omega is a web event that you can join on the official event website or through the link in the announcement when you first log into VALORANT in Patch 12.00. The event runs from Jan. 7 to Feb. 3, with four weeks of challenges for you to complete.

Head to the website, sign in with your Riot ID, select your platform, and choose a faction: Alpha or Omega. Once you make your choice, you won’t be able to change it for the duration of the event. There’s also a quiz that you can take if you can’t decide which faction suits you best.

To be eligible for the event:

  • You must have a valid Riot Games Account.
  • You are 13 years of age (15 for South Korea, 16 for EMEA and Japan) or older at the time of entry. If under 18 (or the age of majority in your country of residence), you must be represented by your parent or legal guardian at the time of registration.
  • You are not a resident of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Sudan, Venezuela, Greece, Italy, Romania, Quebec, Myanmar, or of countries or regions where VALORANT is published by a local publisher (e.g., China), other than Taiwan and Vietnam.
  • You are not employed by or otherwise affiliated with Riot Games.

Players in each faction earn points by playing VALORANT matches and participating in weekly challenges. There are four weeks of challenges, and if you manage to rank high on the weekly leaderboard, you can earn additional rewards.

Here are all the event challenges:

  • Week one (Jan. 7 to 13): Highest number of kills with Bandit.
  • Week two (Jan. 14 to 20): Highest number of wins in All Random One Site.
  • Week three (Jan. 21 to 27): Highest number of assists in any game mode.
  • Week four (Jan. 28 to Feb. 3): Highest number of points for competitive matches (a win is worth three points, a loss is worth one point).

If two or more players have the same score, the winner is decided using their Average Combat Score (ACS) that week.

At the end of every weekly challenge, the faction with the most points wins, and players in that faction who played at least three games during the week receive a player card. You can get up to four player cards, so consider joining the already winning faction (at the moment, it’s Omega), and don’t forget to play your games every week.

Here are the player cards you can earn:

  • V26 Conflict // Hermanita
  • V26 Conflict // Face the Flames
  • V26 Conflict // Blood & Venom
  • V26 Conflict // The Fall

On top of that, the top 10 earners from each faction at the end of the entire event qualify for custom VALORANT V26 Conflict physical merchandise.

Physical rewards include:

  • V26 // WHY WE FIGHT BACK XL Mousepad (PC players)
  • V26 // WHY WE FIGHT BACK HyperX Keyboard (PC players)
  • VALORANT Custom Console Controller + Apparel (Console players)

You can claim physical rewards and redemption codes for player cards in your profile on Riot’s FTW platform.
