How to increase Proficiency and get Lord icon in Marvel Rivals

Each character in Marvel Rivals has unique rewards to unlock by maximizing Hero Proficiency. If you want to flaunt your skills with a character, Hero Proficiency rewards let you do just that, including the classic Lord icons.

Champion is currently the highest rank of Hero Proficiency available in Marvel Rivals, but the Lord icon is still a sought-after reward to show off during hero select.

Here’s everything you need to know about Proficiency and how to unlock the Lord icon in Marvel Rivals.

In Marvel Rivals, every hero has a Proficiency track you can find in the hero profile. To get the Lord icon, you must reach Lord Hero Proficiency (level 20) on that character, which takes around 20 hours of gameplay.

To increase your Proficiency level, complete missions in the Proficiency tab. Completing them awards points that contribute to the level. There are two mission categories: permanent and daily. Permanent missions are repeatable without limits and can be completed in Quick Match or Competitive. Daily missions are repeatable up to 15 times per day and are limited to the Arcade playlist.

Missions have playtime objectives and dedicated role objectives, so the best way to increase Proficiency is to play the hero as much as possible and focus on your role. For Duelists, it’s dealing damage and landing final hits; for Vanguards, it’s blocking damage and getting KOs; and for Strategists, it’s healing and getting assists.
