There is not long to go before Newcastle face off against Manchester United at Wembley Stadium for the Carabao Cup final on February 26.
Huge celebrations were had when the lads beat Southampton 2-1 at St James' Park on January 31, setting the club on course for the iconic stadium for the first time in 24 years. Thousands of supporters are expected to make their way from Newcastle down to London to support the Magpies on the day, and be part of what's sure to be an unforgettable atmosphere in Wembley.
Many of those who are planning to travel down to Wembley for the occasion will be doing so by train - but if this is set to be your first time in London or you're not very familiar with the city, the huge transport network can be tricky to navigate, particularly in the busy crowds. Here's everything you need to know about getting from King's Cross train station to Wembley Stadium so you can plan your journey and make sure you don't miss a moment.

There are two main ways to get to Wembley Stadium from King's Cross using the London Underground. The main one is via the Metropolitan Line, which is colour coded as dark purple on the tube map, and goes directly from King's Cross to Wembley Park station, which is around a 13-minute walk away from the stadium - you will be able to see the famous arch when you exit the tube station. This journey takes around 35 minutes.
The other way to get to the stadium via tube is by hopping on the Victoria or Piccadilly Line at King's Cross, then swapping at Green Park station to get the Jubilee Line the rest of the way to Wembley Park station. While this journey takes a bit longer - around 50 minutes - and involves swapping tubes, it's worth knowing about as there can sometimes be engineering works or delays on the lines.
You don't need to buy a ticket to ride the tube - simply tap your contactless card against one of the yellow readers at the barriers when entering and leaving the station, and the cost of your fare will be automatically calculated and come out of your bank account. Make sure to remember to touch your card on the reader at the end of your journey to avoid being charged a higher fare.
The journey from King's Cross to Wembley Park station costs £4.30 during peak times, which is Monday to Friday from 6.30am-9.30am and 4pm-7pm. During off-peak times, which is all other times including public holidays, it costs £3.10.
If you want to explore other options for getting to Wembley from King's Cross, it is possible to get there by bus by first getting the number 205 from St Pancras station before swapping to the number 18 at Warren Street and getting off at Waverley Avenue, which is a 13-minute walk to the stadium. While this is slightly cheaper than the tube, with London offering a Hopper fare of £1.65 for unlimited bus journeys within an hour, it may be worth splashing out the extra couple of pounds for the Underground if you can as this journey will take an hour and a half on a good day.
You can also hop in a taxi or Uber to get there; however, this is unsurprisingly the most expensive option, with the typical taxi fare sitting at between £6.40 and £10 per mile according to Transport for London - which could work out at anything upwards of £70 for the 11-mile trip to Wembley. It's also worth bearing in mind that this journey takes around 40 minutes by car on a normal day, but given that there's a match on and the roads are likely to be incredibly busy it could take much longer.
